The cherry on top for me was the old fellow who came in, struck up a conversation and enthusiastically took us through all the history. Things that you would otherwise assume were fairly innocuous, maybe even a little boring, have lots of color and associations with interesting historical characters.
So I kind of stumbled in by accident, but it turned out to be a really interesting stop. It's basically a room full of bits of machinery, models, and keepsakes from historical Bristol. Also, ledgers and newspaper records going back a century (which may or may not be your cup of tea) but is fascinating to look through.
Basically, if you are at all interested in history and you like local anecdotes and color, I highly recommend dropping in for a chat and a tour.
