The groccery worker dave at this store is freindly and quite helpfull
I used to love this S&S, however it's gone downhill these past few months. They've always had a good selection of ground meats, now it seems like whenever I go they only have ground beef and nothing else. Idk if it's just bad timing on my part but it happens every time! Not only the selection of meat has dwindled, the produce is not fresh like it used to be. For example, on many occasions I would see fruit flies near the onions. And when I would try to find a fresh onion, I would have to dig and dig to find a semi fresh one. Then another time I saw an employee picking out rotted strawberries from their packages which I would be fine with if I paid by weight and not have to pay a set price. Those were just a few issues I've had.... I know it's just nit picking at this point but when you add all the negative things up it makes a big difference. It's too bad because I really loved this S&S. I give three stars because the staff are very friendly and it is a clean store despite some of the produce not being fresh. And like others have said the deli department has awesome service.
Poor customer service at the gas station. My receipt clearly stated I had $.40 off gas but pump was only showing $.20. The staff member at the station couldn’t override the pump and stated I had to go back into the store if I wanted the $.40 off. Then pump wouldn’t read as my credit card. I went to the rep again and she couldn’t just start the pump so I can fill up. She had to know an exact amount I wanted to charge. I’m better off going to cumberlain farms.
Terrible belittling and unfair management; nobody likes working there because they're afraid of being suspended or fired wrongfully. Mr. Quint has anger management issues and got me suspended all over an anxiety attack; J.B. looks like a mouse and doesn't always understand that customers can be at fault too; and Don is an overly intimidating lying mobster who has difficulties keeping promises to his employees and creates a tense environment for everybody (he got a customer complaint for talking to me from across the floor.) They were all out to get me. I would never recommend working there. If you're seeking employment, go to the Stop and Shop on Farmington Avenue in Bristol.
Parking is to close together like all stop n shop. But some weekly deals r good. Would never reccoomend a full week of shopping here ever
